Please Note: Manufacturer recommends straight cuts only to the top and bottom rails. If you are attaching to a crossover post, it's recommended to cut the PVC insert that is located in the top rail 1/2 inch shorter so it can be easily installed. For stair applications, once you installed the balusters, those are recommended to be trimmed at a stair angle, so no lifting occurs.
