Do not use the rust removal solution on parts that have bluing, browning, or protective oxide paints, as those protective coatings would be removed. For best results leave tools or hardware in the solution for 1 to 3 hours for light rust removal. For heavy rust removal, leave tools or hardware in the rust removal solution overnight.
