The CertainTeed SmartCoat 200 Asphalt Bleed Blocker is a water based formula with acrylic resins that are used to prevent bituminous oil exudate from bleeding through SmartCoat 400 Series Coatings. Although a primer is not required for SmartCoat 400 Series Coatings, this stain blocker also enhances adhesion to most bituminous surfaces such as BUR or modified asphalt.
