Are the thickness of the wraps 3/8"? The reason I'm asking is because the video shows a much more thicker wrap than 3/8". With a 3/8" thickness I'd be worried about the screws splitting the side of the wrap. Also, do these wraps consist of individual sides, or are they a "U" channel and then you fasten/clue the other side to it? The latter is what is shown in the video. Thanks.

Hello, I currently have the 6x6 wraps. Because the 10" wraps have a 7.5" inner width, is it possible to simply install the 10" over the 6x6 wraps?

The 6" wraps are 5.75" actual outside dimension and the 10" have an inside of 6.875". So this should work, however, removing the existing wraps and installing new ones is the proper and approved method.
