Bilco Egress Basement Doors

Bilco Egress basement doors are offered in five options, the Classic Series Primed, Powder Coated Classic Series, Sloped Wall, Powder Coated Sloped Wall, and the Ultra Series. Basement doors and cellar doors allow for the moving of large items or heavy furniture into the basement as well as a safe and convenient exit. Bilco basement doors also come with a 5-year manufacturer warranty and will satisfy the IRC 2012 for emergency egress.

The Classic Series has two finishes to choose from, primed and powder coated. Both options have a gas spring lift assistance that helps prevent the door from slamming shut and an interior slide bolt locking mechanism that helps provide security.

Sloped Wall basement doors are primed steel and are adjustable for installation on areaways with sloped sidewalls that are built into the foundation of a home. They use Torsion-Cam lift assistance which provides an easy, smooth, and one-handed egress window installation. Through Bilco Doors, there is also an 18 inch door extensions offered for the BR-2 to easily elongate your cellar doors.

Bilco’s Ultra Series basement door is a high-density polyethylene door that will never rot, rust, or need painting and is nearly maintenance free. Bilco basement doors also use a gas spring lift assistance for ease of operation.
